[The Gordon brothers were prominent Black pen keepers
and butchers. One of them, Joseph Milward Gordon, was
elected top of the polls in the elections for the new elected
Parochical Board in St Catherine in 1885. He was one of
the leading Black politicians of the day.
The brothers were not, apparently, relatives of
George William Gordon.]
